The girls and I went to Discovery Meadows Park in McMinnville yesterday, with Carrie and family, and a couple of other friends with kids.
There was a giant sand pit, which I refuse to think to hard about. Because it's all well and good when the children are standing or sitting on top of the sand.....
It's when they start to bury themselves in the sand pit that you start to think about the neighborhood cats who love the giant litter box the city of McMinnville has given them. That's when I have to pretend and tell myself that a magic force field comes down over Discovery Park every night to fend off the cats.
The park also has a very large play structure, but the girls never really played on it, they were having too much fun with the sand and this really cool water feature. We here in Oregon have not had the burden of 104 degree weather, so this water feature was not as refreshing as it could have been, say if we were in Midwest states. But it was fun for the 15 minutes they were in it.

Glad they had so much fun. We'll have to go again. Love, Mom aka Gma
fun! Shoot I'd take 104 over the 112 days we've been having! (P.S. aren't your kids immune to cat poop? Didn't one of them eat out of the litter box as a baby? ;)
