This Old House

When I was a little girl my Grandpa Isenberg was going to build all of his granddaughters doll houses. Unfortunately he only did 2 out of 7, one for my cousins Teresa and Kira. I can't lie, there was envy and jealousy, even when I was older and didn't even play with doll houses anymore. But alas, when Aunt Debby and Uncle Mike were purging their house before their world travels and finding homes for things (like the piano), my cousin Teresa's doll house was one of those things. It is 30 some years old and been sitting in storage for a long time, so we'll call it a fixer upper, but it will fun to put back together this fall and winter and watch my girls play with it! As I understand Grandpa built this all by hand, even cutting all the shingles individually.  What a treasure to have in my house.

He really did an incredible job on all the details! How lucky that you get to bring it back to life.

What a wonderful thing to have! You'll have a great time restoring it. Things like this are very precious.
