Interesting....

Wikipedia says "It is generally believed that in northern latitudes, the north side of trees and rocks will generally have more luxuriant moss growth on average than other sides."

I've heard this information comes in handy when you are lost in the woods, and apparently if you need to know which way north is standing on my front porch just look at the stones we have in our front walk way. The ones that sit about 2-3 more inches left (North) are completely green, the other ones don't have a smidge of moss.

I don't know why I did a whole post on this, except it is just really interesting, and thought you might think so too. Happy Thursday =)

I had heard that too, and your stepping stones are proof of it. That really is an interesting picture. As many times as I've walked on them, I hadn't noticed it either. The roof on my house is a testament to that phenomenon too.
