Most Depressing Day of the Year

According to some guy named Cliff Arnall, this is the most depressing day of the year. His formula for determining this is

[W + (D-d)] x TQM x NA.

All of the letters and symbols apparently represent a sort of mathematical code to track the following:
W: How bad the weather is at this time of year.
D: Amount of debt accumulated over the holidays minus how much is paid off.
T: The time since the holidays.
Q: Amount of time passed since New Year’s resolutions have gone south.
M: Our general motivation levels.
NA: The need to take action.

Though the equation doesn't make a lot of sense to me, the letters do. I can see how all of those things can add up at just the right time to make for a lousy day. So I just have to say if today is "the most depressing day" for you, spend a little more time praying and counting your blessings. It will get better. And here is a fun picture to help you smile.

When anxiety was great within me your consolation brought JOY to my soul.
Psalm 94:19

And I thought today was going so well - I didn't know I was supposed to be depressed! I think it's too late for today - so I'll save that for another day - or not. And how could you stay depressed when you see that smile!

Well I hadn't heard that today was the most depressing day of the year until now. It definitely was not depressing for me. I don't get how that is a math equation? But then again I don't know a lot about math.
