PROVERBS

No not ancient Chinese Proverbs, but the Proverbs in the Bible. I have been reading through this book and find it so inspiring and uplifting. When I read it I picture Solomon being sooooo exceptionally full of wisdom after God gave it to him, that he HAD to write it down. Like his brain was on overload and he had to release it and share it. It is just one great thought and insight after another, he had such a clarity and matter of factness to thinking. I will finish one line and the next line is just another "ahhhh, so true". Read it and tell me which ones make you go "Ah Ha".

Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
Proverbs 3:3

Commit to the LORD whatever you do,
and your plans will succeed.
Proverbs 16:3

Many are the plans in a man's heart,
but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails.
Proverbs 19:21

Here are some to encourage you this week! Happy Monday!

Great Thoughts!
...and don't forget:

"Blessed are favorite nieces, for they are a joy to an old man's bones." ( I can't remember exactly where that one is found..." :)

The last one is my favorite Bible verse. :)

Alot of times my "Aha" moments come because I am reading a particular passage during a particular life experience and the verse speaks to me as it never has before. The Bible is truly a "living" word. That's one reason why even OLD Christians need to stay deep in the word.

Proverbs 19:21 was what our preacher preached about last week. And it hit home, I've been disappointed when things don't go as I had planned, but when I realize God has better plans for me it all seems to feel right again! Thanks for the reminder.
