I apologize for not being a faithful blogger lateley. The activities of summer have caught up with me. I have lots of pictures and stuff to talk about, just not the time to tell it in. I do, however, want to tell you that I have become a book reader again, my 3 year dry spell has been broken and I am now a book reading lunatic. I was stuck on the romance novels of Nora Roberts for quite a while, but I finally broke out and read something a little more deep, or should I say gut wrenchingly deep. I read A Thousand Splendid Suns and The Kite Runner, both by the same author Khaled Hosseini. A Thousand Splendid Suns only took me 4 days to read, which in Laura Land is pretty impressive. 
Both of these books are SOOOOOOOOO good and I highly recommend them both. I personally was a little apprehensive to read them, because there was no romantic angst or kissing. =) But once you get past that you lose yourself in a time and place that you can't believe actually existed, and actually still exists to this day. Kite Runner is also a movie, but if you haven't seen it yet, READ THE BOOK FIRST!!
I will be posting soon about all sorts of various things. (i.e trip to Kansas, our new kittens, the X Files Movie)
