Carrie and the boys and Me and the girls took a trip out to Camp Yamhill this past weekend and took a nature walk. Here are some of the highlights....
Violet holding her first salamander from the pond. She was worried about it at first, asking about teeth and stuff. But then she got over it and had fun holding it.
George was a little more willing to hold the slimy salamander. You can almost see his 2 missing teeth in this pic. So cute!
Here the crew is looking for more salamanders.
The Crew in the line up. Love their rubber boots.
On an adventure in the deep dark woods with walking sticks. It's fun to remember doing this exact same thing when we would go out to camp. Ahhh the memories.
Hazel crossing the inspiration point bridge. She was more of a civilization kind of girl. I spent most of the time carrying her through the woods.
Here we are at the campfire (in the crew line up) playing our guitar (George) and singing "Home On The Range".
I hope these kids get to build on these Camp Yamhill memories over the years. This is such a wonderful place to get to be.
We have a very busy week coming up. I am taking the week off to hang out with Carrie and the boys ( and my mom) before they head back to Idaho next week.
I know a lot of you reading this have been to Camp Yamhill...What are some of your memories?

Awwwww! Cute Pics! It makes me miss camp so much. I remember always finding salamanders, going on the moon light hike, looking at the stars, cooking in the kitchen, and of course that is when my addiction to coffee started! Love ya sweetie!
