In My Opinion

Here is a brief review of some of the books I have read the past 6 months.....

I resisted reading this book for a LONG time. Why? I'm not sure. I think I was supposed to read it in high school, but side stepped reading it and just watched the movie. Then just in the past couple of years Carrie said she really liked it and said I should read it, once again I put it off. Soooo....she got it for me for this past Christmas. I finally decided to just sit down and start it, and finished it in about 4 days. I LOVED IT! I HIGHLY recommend it! The story is moving, the characters are fabulous, I laughed, I got teary, it was just all around wonderful. I can see now why it is a classic.

This one I read because I want to see the movie this month, but I wanted to read the book first. I have to admit I do not agree with a lot of things she has to say. But the story is very motivational. It made me want to go eat ALOT in Italy, go meditate in India (although probably a different kind of meditate), and go ride a bike and be carefree in Bali. It was a well done book, with lots of "huh that's an interesting way of looking at it" moments. I am looking forward to the movie.

This book had me laughing from first page to last. Haven Kimmel is a brilliant writer, she makes you want to be 7 years old again. She brings to life her small town upbringing in such a creative and hilarious way. I would be sitting in a perfectly quiet room and just start laughing and Troy look at me like I was crazy. SOOO GREAT! Read it, you will NOT be disappointed!

All 3 of these books I wouldn't mind reading again, but with a highlighter this time so I can mark my favorite parts and quotes. Thank you Carrie, Aunt Dawn, and Lindsey for sharing your books with me!

I want to see Eat Pray Love, too. Wait for me so we can go see it when I'm there next!

I'm so glad you are finding time to read. I want to borrow Zippy when everyone else is finished with it (if that's okay with Dawn). Love ya, Mom
