Here is a "farm" update.....
This is one of my favorite parts about our little farm, the chickens. I love looking out the back door and seeing these gals just pecking and scratching around. They really do have their own little personalities, and great eggs. We currently get around 3-4 eggs a day on average.
Here is a look at some of the garden production. We have red and yukon potatoes. Look at that size of that red one!
This little tomato gets the "most creative" award this year. It cracked me up so much, I just couldn't eat it. It just sat on the counter and eventually went bad, just so I could laugh at it a little bit longer. =) We are now done with the garden this year, because I am tired of freezing vegetables.
Here is our first round of baby rabbits. There were actually 5 in this litter, but 3 died. Not sure why. I've decided that if any of these rabbits are ever going to turn into dinner, Troy is going to have to hide them from me when they look like this.......
.....because if I see them when they look like this.......
I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO MAKE RABBIT STEW!!!! ADORABLE!!!!
As it turns out we are keeping these 2. Since they were the only 2 left from a whole litter, and because Troy lives in a house full of females who just go squishy when we come within 2 inches from these guys.
Oh soooo cute and soft....This is Rainy
And this is Sunshine, aka Sunny.
The girls will occasionally say they would like to get a goat, or another dog, or a cow, but then I tell them that they will have to clean up the poo. That ends that usually ends that conversation. =)

Seriously, I don't know how you're going to handle rabbit stew. Those little guys are too cute!
I just want to break out singing Green Acres when I read this blog. That tomato is hillarious and those bunnies are very cute. I'm proud of ya Laura. You've turned into quite the little farmer. Love, Mom
The tomato...seriously? All my comments must be restrained besides "seriously"? I can picture you rounding the corner into the kitchen every morning and getting your chuckle from looking at it. Ryan
I am very proud of my husband that that's all he said about your tomatoe. You may have to have a phone conversation with him so he can say all of the jokes he's stored up since seeing that picture!
