We delved into the land of orthodontia this week to correct a significant overbite and potential crowding. She has wanted braces since her friend got them, so as crazy as this sounds....
.it is a dream come true!?!
She is beautiful with overbite or without!
It is not a glamorous process, but it sure a fun one to take pictures of!
The put the brackets on and then took them off again to put the glue on them, the removal of the brackets proved to be too much for the tear ducts, but she bounced back pretty quick.
This is drying the glue on the brackets, it's like the nail drying thingy where I get my nails done but for the mouth. Cool!
And here she is on the other side of the whole experience, a couple of days away from the discomfort and newness so that I could get a real smile. So beautiful still and so almost 9 years old. What!?! Now my tear ducts are leaking.
A lot of things change as you get older, fortunately she is still goofy!

I love it! Isabelle has one crooked tooth and keeps asking if she will have to get braces. Yet I think she is secretly hoping! Remember when braces were cool and we used to undo paper clips and use those to pretend those were retainers? maybe that was just me...=)
Oh my goodness. She's so brave. The best part of braces is picking your rubber band colors!!
