Sometimes when I am reading the Bible a verse, that I have probably read a million times, encourages me more than it did last time I read it. I was reading 1 Thessalonians this week and came across this verse, and it gave me such a great feeling of peace. So I just wanted to share it with all of you and pray that it encourages you today. We are going to be going out of town this weekend, so I will catch up with you on Monday. Have a great weekend.
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all
circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thess 5:16-18
-Do you have a verse that has ever encouraged you differently than the last time you read it?

Philip 4:4-7 took on a new and deeper meaning during Aunt Kathys crisis in 1990. I lean on that passage often.
Hello friend! I will enjoy seeing the girls' updates on the blog- but I'm not cool enough to start one. =) Two verses that changed for me after 9-11 because I was struggling with fear (shocking I know) which gave me sleeping problems. Psalm 4:8 "I will both lie down in peace and sleep for you alone, oh Lord, can make me dwell in safety." and Psalm 9:19,20 "Arise, O Lord, do not let man prevail; Let the nations be judged before You. Put them in fear, O Lord; Let the nations know that they are but men."
I love you -great blog!
Leangella=)
Matthew 5:43-48 Would be the verse that I looked at differently after having real neighbors and being a homeowner. And as we choose to do what Jesus would do - things are settling out as they should. It's funny how it always work out that way - but sometimes we take a detour to get there :-)
Laura, thank you and the others for sharing the Bible verses.
