I took the day off yesterday to go to the beach, since Carrie and the boys are in town for a couple of weeks. So we piled 4 car seats into a van and mom, Carrie, me, and the kids went to the beach. It was an absolutely beautiful day, so the kiddos played in the water, which is a very rare occasion. The Pacific Ocean is not exactly warm. We had a wonderful time finding empty crab shells and digging holes and trying to fill them up with water. I think Nolan could have tried to fill a hole all day long if we would have let him. He is a very determined little boy, and just couldn't figure out why the water kept disappearing when he would pour it in the hole. =)

That was SOOO much fun. Someone has GOT to invent more comfortable car seats for kids though.
Wow that looks like an amazing day and makes me want to go to the beach!! You both have such beautiful and wonderful kids! Kinda makes me want some . . . but once again the reality sets in. All in good time!!
