64 things

I was inspired to do this list because I loved reading Katies list. But where it took her an hour and a half to come up with 75, it has taken me 2 WEEKS to come up with 64. I just cannot squeeze anymore "interesting" things out. So for better or worse here is my list........hopefully it is not too snooze fest for you.

1. I want to get a golden retriever someday and name her Kathrine Tyler and call her Kit, after the main character in my favorite book

2. My favorite book is Witch Of Blackbird Pond

3. I love to go grocery shopping and see how much money I can save at each store

4. I have known Troy since we were 8 years old.

5. I went to the Miss USA coronation ball in Branson in 2000. I got to get my picture with Carson Daly, Julie Moran, and Shooter McGavin (the guy who plays him on Happy Gilmore. I can't remember his name).

6. I want to learn how to cook like Rachel Ray

7. I have been to NYC 3 times and I loved it. I think it would be fun to live there for a while

8. I love going to see movies at the movie theater

9. My favorite car that I have owned was my '69 Nova. I named it Traven after Keanu Reeves' character in Speed.

10. I have a tattoo of a butterfly on my foot

11. I have to chew mint gum to drink lots of water

12. The name I used for a long time for all my dolls as a little girl was Janet

13. I want my next vehicle to be a minivan

14. I am fascinated and confused about how TV works

15. The only house I ever have dreams about is the house I grew up in. 304 W 2nd

16. I want to go on a cruise around the world

17. I would like to run a 1/2 marathon

18. Stupid ( people who have no common sense ) people drive me crazy

19. We named the big maple tree in our backyard growing up Jack, and the tree in my backyard now is named Jill

20. I think it would be fun to own a 1950's themed bowling alley

21. I used to like Oprah, but now I think she is a little bit too worshiped

22. I imagineViolet being a gymnast and Hazel playing the violin when they are in High School

23. I envy my sisters self control

24. I think I would have enjoyed living in the early 1900's.

25. I loved living in Branson

26. I like muscials and plays. I have seen Cats 3 times (once on Broadway- Thank you Dawn and Gano!!), Phantom of the Opera 3 times, The King and I, Lion King, and Miss Saigon(on Broadway)

27. I don't get opera... people screaming in tune wearing poofy costumes???? Don't get it

28. I love big band music ( Frank Sinatra, Dean martin, etc...), It makes me smile

29. I was a history major at Freed Hardeman. I think teaching high school history would be fun

30. Dr. Pepper addiction- trying to break it

31. I am really good about remembering birthdays, I am just not good about sending cards.

32. Jessica Simpson and I have the same birthday

33. I love black licorice

34. "my star" is the middle star of Oriens Belt. It's the one I wish on

35. I would love to learn how to ballroom dance

36. I went to Regis and Kathy Lee when I went to New York in '95. I saw Patrick Swayze, Tom Snyder, and Lucky Vanos ( the Diet Coke guy)

37. My favorite non reality TV shows are Pushing Daisies and Ghost Whisperer

38. I love going on road trips

39. I want to see Bruce Springsteen in concert- I missed him when he came to Portland last year. Hopefully he'll come again someday

40. I've been to Disneyland 10 times. I LOVE DISNEYLAND!!!

41. I have a Fantasy football team-Lor's Boars. I am 3-1

42. I love rain

43. Carrie and I taught Ryan how to ride his bike. We gave him report cards

44. I miss good Saturday morning cartoons. Where did Pee Wee and The Muppet Babies go??

45. I had a hamster in junior high, she had babies, bit all but 3 of their heads off. When we were gone on vacation for Christmas she got out of her cage and crawled down the heat vent and died. My dad had to crawl under the house and get her out and she was all bloated up. The house smelled really bad. We sprayed Lysol gardeney spray stuff and my Debbie Gibson Electric Youth perfume to try and mask the smell while it was around.

46. I don't like change, big change. But I love to rearrange furniture

47. I wish I could find my friends from Eastern Oklahoma State College. Paula, Christina, Brandy, Becky, and Angie. Go Mountaineers! =)

48. I have no desire to bungee jump or sky dive. I prefer to get my adrenaline rush from roller coasters

49. I have had 2 surgeries on my right wrist and broken my right wrist 2 times. Neither surgery was a result of either break.

50. My favorite flower is a Dahlia

51. I did not go to my 10 year high school reunion

52. I walked 6 miles the day before Violet was born because I didn't want her to be born on St Patricks Day. I didn't want to always have to do her birthdays in green. It worked, she was born on the 16th

53. I am not supersticious. But I didn't eat Life cereal for years, because I had a terrible day after eating it one morning in Junior high.

54. I have had the same job for 8 years. Providence Medical Group, This is Laura, How can I help you?

55. I like to make lists but I rarely stick to them

56. We have been doing Taco Bell Wednesdays for 2 years. It has kind of slowed down now, but we went every wednesday for at least a year and a half

57. I like playing games. Board, card, trivia...doesn't matter- Bring it on

58. I would like to go on Wheel of Fortune

59. Troy taught me how to play chess, but I can't play very well and it gives me a headache after a while

60. My favorite place on earth is Camp Yamhill, it makes me sad that it is not the same as it used to be. ( see #46) I think it is beautiful and peaceful.

61. I hate math

62. I enter everday to win the HGTV dream house in January and February, I have for the past 4 years.

63. My first memory is when I was 3 or 4 and I stuck a key in a electrical outlet in my parents room. (at 304 W 2nd)

64. I didn't realize I was so not interesting =)

I found your list very entertaining! I read it at work and told Neesy about the funny ones!
I didn't know hampsters bit their babies heads off - that's disgusting. I wouldn't eat Life cereal either if I were you! And while Rachel Ray seems to be a great cook, she gets a little weird sometimes. Like using sardines in a pasta dish. Um, GROSS!

#44 I totally agree. I actually watched an episode of Hannah Montana last Saturday am and was so disappointed.

Ok, you are interesting! I remember Electric Youth!! And where did all the good Sat morning shows go??? Next time you go to NYC let me know I'll go with! We aren't that far!

It makes me smile remembering all of those great things about you. Half of those things I love too b/c you loved them! I'm so unorigonal. Seriously, you'd think I'd get my own personality by now....You would have been a great history teacher. Maybe kids would have liked to go to class if you were the teacher

I totally enjoyed reading this! There were things I didn't know which was surprising since I've known you ALL your life! (lucky me!) I remembered the hamster minus the head thing DISGUSTING!!!!!!
