It's a long time coming! We had a wonderful visit with Carrie and the boys here. We went to the aquarium at the coast and the Childrens Musuem (among several things) while they were here. Here are a few pictures.....
We had a good time at the aquarium, but it was COLD and WET! Shocking I know, it is Oregon. But it was very wet and windy, so EVERYONE was inside, which made for very crowded places. We did venture outside to look at the otters, and they were actually quite entertaining.
As you can tell this crab is HUGE! I was shocked when I saw it. It is some kind of spider crab from Japan or something like that. George was very brave to stand next to the crab, the girls wouldn't have it!
Here are Nolan and Hazel with some jelly fish. They had gigantic jelly fish too, but none of my pictures turned out very well.
Hazel with a shark coming out of her head. This was actually a really neat walk through tunnel that had sharks and other fish swimming all around you. They had windows in the floor too.
Grandpa pointing out that when these little fish open their mouths you can see through to their tail. So many fascinating things to see!
Violet with an old fashioned scuba helmet
Leonard feeding Hazel to the sharks! AHHHH!
Here's the crew at the Childrens Museum. They had a really neat Bob the Builder exhibit going on. Which is right up George and Nolan's alley.
Violet was more into going shopping at the grocery store
And Hazel loved the water exhibit.
Here are my sweet girls showing their creative sides.
