Proof your children are completely different from eachother!

Hazel had her first dance class last night, and it was a completely different experience that Violets first dance class last November. It took about 3/4 of the class time to get her comfortable enough to go out and join in with the other kids.

This first picture was taken in the first 5 minutes of class. She was sitting in the middle of the room in the circle and the next thing I know she is looking at me with this face saying "I don't want to mommy". It broke my heart. I spent the next half hour bribing, teasing, and threatening, and she finally gave in.


Comparison.....This was Violets first dance class last year.... no hesitations at all. Contemplating.....taking it in


Ah, there's a smile! Violet got to participate to try and coerce Hazel (and Lilyanah) to go out an dance, but she is not in dance class. She is going to start gymnastics after Hazel is done.


And finally, after class is over, and the pressure was off to perform....we saw Happy Girl Hazel, who promises next week she will dance her socks off!
