Hazel's first haircut

We finally took Hazel for her first haircut, after 3 1/2 years of letting it grow. I was actually going to let it get a lot longer than this before we cut it, but hair brushing and bath time just became to much. Not to mention it was a bit scraggly due to dragging through a candle and a cousin with scissors! So, off with the hair!

Here is the before....when it was wet it actually touched the top of her little bottom. ( You can see Megan the Hair Miracle Worker in the mirror)

I absolutely LOVED the beautiful curls on the bottom. I now have a chunk of the the little curl for her baby book.

And here is the first snip, you can see the chunk that Megan is holding....

And here is the final product. We took about 5 or so inches off, and it is still pretty long.

I think this will be much more pleasant for brushing and washing! And Megan was kind enough to fix her bangs too, I have a tendency to just cut at will when they get in her face. THANK YOU MEGAN!!!

So cute! She's adorable, and I know it's going to make mornings a little easier ; ).

love that curl! I had no idea it was her very first hair cut. She is too cute and I'm sure the 5 inches less of hair means less tangles!

Yes, it is soooo much easier to brush her hair in the morning. Gma loves it and I think Hazel will appreciate it too. Such a beautiful girl. Love, Mom

She's beautiful no matter what her hair is like - she'd even be beautiful without hair. :0)

Sad to see it go. I always loved the new baby curls at the bottom too. They never seem to come back once it's cut.... =( But so pretty and healthy looking!
