A Day at the Beach 2010

For the past 4 years Carrie and her kiddos have come to visit for a bit of time whilest David is abroad for the Reserves, and every year so far we have managed to make it to the beach for a day. This year the day was AMAZING! No sweatshirts required, just sunglasses and rolled up jeans. Here are memories from years past....

And here is Beach Visit 2010

Hazel and I built a stellar sand castle, here she is showing it off. I promise....there is a sand castle there. =)

Violet always finds the dead crustaceans. Here she is with a little crab

Hazel loved running from the water, someday I will let her run from the REAL waves. This is in the little bay in Taft by Mo's Restaurant.

Just a beautiful smile on a happy girl playing on the Oregon Coast

Treasure seekers. They all filled their buckets up with lots of rocks....couldn't find too many whole shells.

They found something interesting, just not sure what it was. But whatever it was, none of them wanted to touch it.

This was Alice's first trip to the coast. She loved the sand, apparently it doesn't taste very good though.

My little Oregon Coast Cuties!

So much fun! I absolutely love this tradition and look forward to it every year. It's so much fun to look at the pics from the past trips and see how much the kids have grown. I think George was Hazel's age when we went for the first time. Time flies!

I loved walking down memory lane. Grandma looks forward to this trip every year too. I love the pictures. We did have a lot of fun and it was definitely a perfect day. Gotta love those precious grandkids. Hopefully Olivia and her parents can come with us one of these times. Love, Mom
