Violet has, as long as I have known her, had an interest in bugs. She is the reason I finally had to get over my intolerance of box elder bugs swarming the back of my house to help catch a dozen to put in the Bug Jug, the reason I have had to watch a spider crawl across the ceiling without spraying it with a bottle of something toxic more often than I'd like , and why I had to relearn to be
OK with touching worms, lots and lots of slimy worms. A couple of weeks she happened upon this injured moth and practiced being a Good Samaritan. This has got to be the luckiest moth in history, do you see that fuzzy green bed and the luscious green delicacies , not to mention its VERY OWN Coke bottle lid water bowl. Seriously, the girl can show some hospitality. Shockingly, and completely unexpected, the poor moth
succumbed. Apparently, we are ok with the death of our insect companions, because she woke up the next morning, saw it had passed, picked it up, walked out of her room, and tossed it out the back door declaring "it's dead". But at least he had a nice last days living the life of luxury!

I loved everything about this post!
She is so sweet. And you are such a good mommy to indulge her love of bugs. I just can't wait till she brings home her first hurt bird or frog, or snake! Bugs are only the beginning!
Such a sweet girl! Gma loves her.

I see some frog dissections coming up in science class - and her loving every minute of it!
