My Favorite Place on Earth

This weekend our church went on a camping trip out at Camp Yamhill. This place holds more meaning and memories than I have time to effectively express and share in this particular post. That will have to be a post unto it's self. But this post is to show the amazing beauty and tranquility found even in dinky camera phone pictures. I woke up Saturday morning and went for a walk around the back part of the pond, came out by Inspiration Point, walked back across the big field, and over the bridge that goes back to the pond where we were camped out. It was so refreshing, relaxing, and beautiful. And now I share my dinky pics.......

The pond with it's fog. Love it!

Inspiration Point. The water was surprising low, perfect for water hiking. =)

The big field looking in the direction of the pond. It smelled so good.

And here is one of the crosses down by the bridge to the pond. A perfect place to reflect on your day and talk to God with the sound of the river in the background and the warmth of the sun on your face.
Like I said, the pictures aren't great. But if you have had the opportunity to spend any time at camp, I'm sure you could feel each of those places for yourself just looking at them.

I'm so thankful my kids got to experience camp Yamhill when it was at its best. It is a beautiful place. I'm sad it won't be the same for my grandkids. But that's progress. I had a great time last weekend too. Thanks for letting me have the girls. I hope they had fun. We'll have to do it again. Love, Mom aka Gma

I was thinking of Camp the other day, I really want to find a place to take Cameron water hiking and it always makes me think of Camp. Maybe we'll just have to come up there and go (maybe next year) Great pictures, even with your phone!
