Birds Of A Feather

Sure are weird looking....

The following birds are champions at The Grand National Pigeon Show. Yes, you read correctly, The National Pigeon Show, put together by National Pigeon Association. I don't know about you, but when I think of pigeons I think of the gray and white birds that poop and beg all over Central Par, but we, my friends, have had it all wrong. Check out these, apparently, superb specimens......

The Bokhara Trumpeter
Are you as confused on where the face is on this guy as I am. I have looked and looked, but it just looks like a black feathery pineapple.

The Saint-
I love it's built in high collar. So fashionable.

The Snow King-
I thought that this cute one looked like it belonged in a cartoon.

The Pigmy Pouter-
I think he's hoping if he puffs his chest out far enough we won't notice that he forgot to put his pants on.

The Jacobin-
This is what I like to call the Tina Turner Pigeon. But again with the no face, so confused.

The Maltese-
I thought this one was pretty. Looks like it should be a statue.

The Frillback-
Have you ever seen a bird with curly feathers? Neither have I.

Wow! Those are some crazy looking pigeons. I never even thought about there could be actual different kinds. Go figure.

Those are amazing. The first one really does look like a grey fuzzy pineapple. Love ya, Mom aka Gma

Who knew? The one with no pants looks like he ate a tennis ball and couldn't swallow it.
I feel so much more eduacated now! Thanks for sharing. My only question is, how in the world do you know about the Grand National Pigeon Show?
