The Room Rearrage Part 1

As you can tell from the next 2 pictures, it was becoming apparent that the girls were needing a bit more space. I really wanted to be able to take their bunk beds down so their beds were easier to make, and they were always hauling all of their toys out of their room to play with them because their floor space wasn't big enough.

So in October I had an epiphany...give them our room. So we decided to turn it in to one of their Christmas presents. The girls went to spend the night with my mom on the 26th, and the next day we worked all day, and about 9 we realized we weren't going to get it done, so I asked if the girls could spend one more night.

(I had already started moving furniture out before I remembered to take "before" pics)

At 2:00 am we were finished and I went and got the girls the next morning.

I saw this idea on Pinterest, they used fabric, but I didn't have time to get fabric and has found a scrapbook paper book in the perfect color scheme I was going for, and made this as a last minute add-on at midnight.

I didn't get any pictures of the reaction, but I'm sure you can imagine it was pretty great. They are still saying "this doesn't seem real".

Here is the room after they put their touches to the beds.

My wonderful grandma asked if there was any furniture I would like to use from her house, and so we have now acquired this lovely chest of drawers. It was her parents. It's a perfect addition.

There is soooooooooo much more that needs to be done. We are currently staying in their pink room, which will eventually be the TV room, when we move upstairs where the TV room is.  But this requires painting and a few more things. It will be a process, but a fun one I think.

We saw that the pet store stole your "flag" idea as part of their new decor. The room looks GREAT! Good job. Love, Mom aka Gma
