Ice Cold Reality

I have this crazy delusion every new year that I am magically going to become more organized and accomplish everything I want to in a timely fashion. And then I wake up, and remember that just because it is a new year doesn't mean that there are now 36 hours in a day. Reality has hit me like ice cold hands on a warm tummy, and it is only the 2nd week into 2008, so I have abandoned all idea of resolutions. I WAS going to: Lose 20 lbs, make a budget, diligently send out birthday cards to everyone in my address book, and make a monthly menu for the meals I will make for my family. But now, unless those 36 hour days come around, I am only resoluting to read 1 BOOK OVER 300 PAGES in the year 2008. Whooo Hooooo! Hold me back.

Here Hazel is displaying her new dress. She saw Violet holding her dress up and being the mimick she is wanted to do it too. These days, everything Violet does is the thing to do.

I got Apples to Apples for Christmas. I played it for the first time at Thanksgiving, and love it. So if any of you ever come to my house, be prepared to Apple it up! Also in this picture you can see my new hairdo. Short and dark.

Here Aunt Becky is reading one of the girls new Veggietales books they got for Christmas. They love reading and their aunt Becky, so this is a picture of 2 very happy little girls!

And after all is said and done.... the cardboard box is the favorite toy!
