Kansas

So...here is the first round of pictures from the past couple of crazy weeks. We went to Wichita, KS to visit my best friend, Leann, and her family. While we were there we all got to witness a very sweet thing, the start of hopefully a wonderful friendship. The phrase "kindred spirits" keeps going through my head. The first few pictures are of Violet and Isabelle. They got along so well, I barely had to be a parent the whole time we were there because they were always playing wonderfully well together.

Here they are taking care of "baby Thomas". One of them would push the stroller and the other one would carry the diaper bag. And every few minutes they would stop, unload the diaper bag, take care of baby Thomas, and then load it back up again. It was ADORABLE.
Here they are playing with their Dora dolls at the dining room table

Hazel and Gideon also liked eachother. This was an unprompted spontaneos hug between the two of them. Aaaaaah. How sweet.
This is what happens when a little boy plays with his sister and her friend all weekend. =)
Here is the littlest sister, Sydney. Or should I say 'little Leann'. She makes some of the EXACT same facial expressions as her mommy.

Here is my dearest sweetest friend and I. Once again I don't know how to express enough what a blessing she is in my life. I am very thankful for her. Love you Leann!
She married a great guy too. Here are are our wonderful husbands. We celebrated Troy's 30th birthday while we were there. They went and saw Batman and played ping pong and bocce. Good times.

God blessed us with a "welcome back to Oregon" present. A beautiful clear day to see a real mountain. Kansas has some of its own beauty, but Oregon is definately a sight for sore eyes!

We also got to see Mary and her family, but knucklehead me didn't take any pictures of them. You can check out her blog to see pics from our visit though. I love spending time with some of my favorite people.

coming up next.......the kittens and a carnival

Baby Thomas looks so well taken care of. I can't wait for them to meet him! (Does she not call him Cameron anymore?) It's so wonderful to have such good friends, where ever in the country they might be!!
