Fire Station

We went to the fire station for the Fire Prevention Fair a couple of weekends ago. They used to do fire engine rides, but they quit doing those, bummer. But the girls had fun anyway~

Fire Chief Violet and Seargent Hazel

Violet did a obstacle cours while we were there. I was very proud of her, she did a very good job. She had to drag this hose through the yellow tube......

And hit a piece of wood with a hammer, among other things.

Here they are in a old fire truck

Seargent Hazel handling a fire hose

Fire Chief Violet showing her fire prevention talents
In other news.... I finished another book. My Aunt Dawn loaned me Peace Like A River and I loved it!!!! It is sooo well written and a wonderful story. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I now have 3 days to finish my yearly read Witch of Blackbird Pond, and then I want to start a series of books my mom just finished. I can't remember what they are called, but she said it was great. I'll let you know when I find out what it is.
Does anybody have a Halloween Party they are going to?
