Here is Violet with her birthday donut. We had a birthday party "coffee break" with a couple of friends and cousins. We had donuts and juice and the kids played "Hot Pony" ( or hot potato with a My Little Pony). It was a quick little party and then we were off to Abbys to celebrate with more family and friends.
On her actual birthday (monday) I took her to Build A Bear at the mall and let her pick out a new friend. Here she is "giving her a bath". She gave her new bear the name Alice Sweetie. She now goes everywhere Violet goes.

After dinner we took Violet on a scavenger hunt around Newberg ( to places she knows well). We ended the hunt at Dairy Queen where we had her open presents and she got to order whatever she wanted from the ice cream menu. She had her first blizzard, an M & M blizzard, I believe I have ruined my chances to ever buy just a cheap ice cream cone for her ever again. =(

Here Violet is with her new bike w/ training wheels and Hazel who is perfectly content to follow behind and push her whenever she gets stuck. I am very much looking forward to 4. I am excited to see what she learns and how she grows up this next year. She is already such a sweet and adventurous little girl.

you know my 4 year old is so different from Violet, she's so much smarter than he is, and she turned 4 after he turned 4. i'm so glad she had a great birthday! Jessica Van Winkle
What a fun birthday - and she got to stretch it out for a nice spell! Cute that Alice Sweetie is in the bicycle basket, going for a ride, too. :-)

Laura, you did such a great job making Violet's birthday special & memorable!!! I'm only disappointed that we couldn't be there to celebrate with you all! I sure do miss you, it's funny cause' Lilyanah misses Violet too. Whenever Oregon comes up Violet's name is soon to follow! I love you & ditto on all the great picture comments! ~Wendy.
