Week of Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving week was full of exciting times for us. Hazel had an adenoidectomy and another set of ear tubes put in on the Monday before, so she was pretty pitiful all week. Then there was Thanksgiving at Grandmas house. Carrie, David, and kids came which means the girls are in constant play mode. On black Friday I went to one store at 8 am and called it good, went to see New Moon (again) with Carrie, then went to Grandmas again to hang out with Ashley B and fam before she headed back to Harding, and that night we went to a friends house to make gingerbread houses. Saturday was more time with Carrie and Family and that night we went to Chuck E Cheese for a birthday party then came back and played with The Moores some more.......maybe that would explain why Monday morning I had to actually go in at 8:30 and wake Violet up for school Monday morning.

I did a kind of a lousy job of picture documenting a lot of this, but here is some of what I did get..........

A pitiful Hazel with a cute puppy. This was the day after sugery. Poor baby.

Cousins. It is so fun getting Alice in on all the pictures now. Now we just need to get sweet Olivia in on it. =) This was on Thanksgiving, you can tell from Violets hair that she has been playing like crazy.
Hazel was not fully 100% back to her normal self on Thanksgiving, she conked out at about 7pm on Great Grandmas lap.

This was our Gingerbread house making, it was actually graham cracker houses, but who really pays attention to that. =) Violet ate WAY to much frosting and was ready to run a marathon at 9:30 at night. Lesson learned.

Hazel looking very proud of her house.....

What a group. I don't think there is a way to describe how Violet feels about her cousins better than the look on her face in this picture....adoration.

Hazel and Alice bonding timeHere is an elusive rare photo of me on my own blog. I look terrible and would not have put it on except for the fact that the adorable baby in my arms is soooo sweet! She was so content to sit there and be loved by her aunt Laura.

I'm sorry I missed all of it (especially my kiddos). But I so enjoyed being with Ryan, Katie, and Olivia. It was also great to be with Grandma and Grandpa Isenberg. I'm so glad Hazel is feeling better. I miss you all and am looking forward to being home soon. It's so bittersweet because I am not looking forward to saying goodbye to My Okie kiddos and my Idaho kiddos. Love ya. Mom
