We're Still Growing

Here is The K's Green Acres 2011

Here are our peas growing up the fence and corn. On the right is the new green house and the compost bin.

Here are the crazy abundant raspberries along the back fence, potatoes (in the buckets on the left), spinach, and lots and lots of lettuce. Violet is in the corner with a cute little gray rabbit.

Troy added a 3rd water barrel this year, which has been good since we have had SO MUCH RAIN this year. All 3 of them are full!

Here is the view looking west ( the green house is behind me). Along the far fence are MORE raspberries. Along top of the raspberries on this fence are blackberries. When we moved in 9 years ago the blackberries were all over our back yard. It took a couple of years to finally get rid of them, now we are trying to get some of them back. In front of those on the ground are all the gourd family vegetables, squash and cucumber. You can tell this was take a few weeks after the above pictures because the lettuce is much bigger!

Including Violet's pumpkin she planted last year at school. The blossom opens in the morning and closes up later in the day.

In our house hunting we are definately looking for a yard big enough for garden space. Although I doubt I could pull one off as fancy as yours.,,.

Seriously, Troy is doing an AMAZING job! Very impressed & jealous! We're just trying to get grass to grow at this point but I'm hoping Jeremy or Grandma will come out to help us get a garden growing. Of course we have some wildlife out here that might reap all the benefits, we'll see. LOVE YOU!
