Have I said how much I love having a cat again. No? Well I just said it. There is just something about having an unpredictable ball of fluffy energy around the house that makes the house a little more interesting. We really did hit the jackpot on cats when we got this guy.
He loves to hide in things. Boxes, backpacks, grocery bags, garbage cans, anything that has sides really, he will camp out in it. Can you see him in Hazel's backpack?
He is very good with the girls. He will actually chase them around the house, hide behind the couch and jump out at them. When he hasn't had his claws cut this kind of play usually results in lots of scratches, but still a lot of laughter. He will tolerate being dressed and wrapped up in blankets for a while, obviously not his favorite activity, but he is not mean about it. And it doesn't seem to make him scared of them, because his favorite place to sleep is right in the nook of Violets legs on her bed.
When we had Parler she was a hider. She would hid under the bed, or upstairs, or in my closet, when people came over. She might make an appearance, but it was just to go find a better place to hide. Dash is not a hider. He is a sit-on-the-couch-and-recline-on-someones legger, and if you leave your baby on the floor, said baby is fair game for sniffing, batting, and attacking. A trait I am hoping he grows out of, he is only 7 months old.
This place on the couch is his claimed spot, and obviously pillows are no obstacle. There are so many more things I could say about this guy, but I will stop. Bottom line, he is great. Just the right amount of purr, cuddle, soft fur, and spunk.
